Multi artist Tomas Johansson opens a art gallery/music shop in ICYou's Rockshop

Although Tomas already have an international following due to his musical project zzzzzz he is also a very well renowned artist with paintings hanging on walls all over the world.

“When I heard of the rockshop I instantly thought would it not be cool to be able to open up a virtual art gallery and sell my art through a completely new media, I am so enthusiastic about the possibility to meet the supporters to my music and the customers to my art and talk to them in my own rockshop. I was first in the world to introduce "stand up art" so it makes sence that I am the first painter in ICYou. To have a virtual 3D gallery makes 100% sense for all that have followed my career, thank you ICYou for making this possible for me.” says Tomas Johansson

About Tomas Johansson:

ZZZZZZ [bzzz without a b] is a musical project by the band's only member. The music had existed for a few years but solely as tangible ideas and thoughts in the head of ZZZZZZ. The band decided that the rest of the world should have the opportunity to experience the music.

How the album got the name "Holeigans" is based on the following:At Liljevalchs (Sweden's most reknowned gallery) 2000 Spring Exhibition, Tomas Johansson was exhibiting three paintings - "Which hole is the way out?", "Holeigan Spiral" and "The Bump" - which depicted holeigans sitting in their holes. They are large, clinical monotoned paintings with an alien chap as central figure. The whole concept is built on a simple "expressionlessness", which, in its simplicity, becomes extremely expressive. With the creation of the music, so too was the holeigan spirit was woven into its creation. These figures also got to decorate the CD cover. The music is not about the holeigans, but a creation in the same spirit.; minimilistic, clinical with a pinch of humour carried forward by a calming desolate feeling.

ZZZZZZ's only member has his musical background as a bassisit in heavy and death/trash metal bands, but the influences span over a much broader spectrum. On the album "Holeigans" you can't help but see there is a certain love for the German "krautrockers", Kraftwerk.

Lizette started singing in a studio that was all into POP, let me clarify that - *POP*! The extremely cool people working in this studio thought that Enya made "really deep and weird music". This is all fine, but Lizette's music always sounded MUCH "weirder" than Enya ever did. She thought that there would not be an audience for what she did - so why do it... except for the fact that it was so fulfilling and enjoyable. About 1 year later she got introduced to NIN, the album "Downward spiral". Hearing what he did on that album and the fact that he had an extremely large audience who really needed and loved his music - Lizette got to work for real and started to produce the album "This is"

Learning more about all the technical aspects that are needed for a full blown album production as she went along. So - here U have it - done with a lot of love - angry, beautiful and horrifying music made to create an impact. To reach the soul of her listeners and explore new worlds. Dan Reed open up his own Rockshop in ICYou’s 3D Talk

ICYou welcomes Dan Reed to 3D Talk.

Dan Reed:. *DAN REED.*

During the late Eighties, as the frontman of the Portland, Oregon, based multicultural funk rockers Dan Reed Network, he was an aspiring rock musician. But in the 16 years since he broke up the band, Dan Reed has been on a long physical, mental and spiritual journey which has taken him around the world and exposed him to the ideals and philosophies of a wide variety of cultures.

Following his brief series of warmly received solo shows in November

2008 - his first British dates in 15 years – Dan Reed is returning for a fuller acoustic tour in October and November throughout Europe, performing new songs which reflect the odyssey he’s undertaken from the hedonist lifestyle of a rock’n’roll musician to his recent active participation in new US President Barack Obama’s electoral campaign, from touring with the Rolling Stones in 1991 to living in a Tibetan monastery. Dan will also be playing old favorites from his DRN days.

Between 1988 and 1992, Dan Reed Network, managed by Bill Graham during that time, sold over 2 million albums worldwide and toured with the likes of Run DMC, UB40, Eddie Money, David Bowie, Bon Jovi and the Rolling Stones, until a trip to Dharamsala, India to interview the Dalai Lama for ‘Spin’ magazine in 1993 made Dan realise there was more to life than rock music.

The band was put on ice as he became involved in a number of different projects, which included acting, screenwriting and setting up his own record label. He wrote articles on subjects such as homelessness, Tibetan independence, Native American rights (Dan is himself partially of Native American descent) and animal rights and became actively involved in PETA and Young Audiences of America. In 1999 he set up a nightclub in Portland, called OHM, which specialised in cutting edge electronica and rock.

The death of his father in 2003 forced him to re-examine his life and realise that late nights at OHM were sapping both his energy and his creativity. Leaving Portland, he headed back to India for a year, during which he studied Buddhism while living in a Tibetan Monastery guest house, and then, after meeting a number of Israeli artists and musicians, decided to explore the Middle East. Settling in Jerusalem, he built a small studio and started recording music again, bridging the cultural and political divide by working with musicians from both Israel and Palestine.

Dan believes that as the world faces challenging times, the lines between entertainment and activism are starting to break down. To this end, on his return to the US, he threw himself into President Barack Obama’s electoral campaign, creating and performing at fundraising events and at the recent inaugural celebrations. Dan is also a Vice-Chairman of the Board for The Middle East Peace Civic Forum, a Washington-based organisation which promotes a two-state solution for Palestine and Israel.

Having come full circle and returned from his long journey older and wiser than the funk rocker of the last millennium, Dan Reed is now back where he belongs - creating music that will entertain, inform and inspire.
